Last Chance to Join Our Spring Tracking Class beginning FRIDAY MAY 27th

Utrack classes are designed for beginners up to advanced handling levels.

Does your dog love to use its nose?
Are you looking for something fun to do with your dog?
Have you ever wanted to see what kind of tracking ability he/she has?
Do you know that your dog has the ability but you haven't known what to do with it?
Why not try tracking?
It is fun for both dog and owner.

Tracking is where dogs follow human scent and receive a positive reward for doing so. Tracking training helps to develop your dog's problem solving skills and will provide much enjoyment and exercise for both you and your pet. Progression in tracking skills will enable you to compete in various tracking competitions. To find the answer to these questions, attend this beginners tracking seminar with Neil Faddis. Neil has been training dogs for CKC events and CKC competition tracking dogs for over 50 dog years. He will share his experience with you and your dog so that you both will be able to enjoy the rewarding experience of tracking. All classes are "hands on" focusing on the fundamentals of accurate foot-step tracking.
Tracking seminars are not only designed for the pet owner who is looking for something fun to do with their dog, but also the experienced tracker who would like to work out a few training problems. If playing with your dog outside or challenging him/her to develop their natural talent sounds interesting, why not register and learn how a dog uses his nose to find the scent trail of lost articles or understand how to draw a map track for training and/or competition.
Tracking theory, the effect of conditions, and how to teach the basics of starting tracking dogs will be covered. Problem solving and "reading your dog" will be covered as well as how temperament affects your dog's learning.
- Problem Solving exercises for experienced tracking dogs will also be done upon request.
- Class Handout included.
- Equipment required for tracking classes: bring a pen or pencil, clipboard and paper, rain gear (including rubber boots), Dog Body Tracking Harness, Tracking Line, 2 Leather Gloves, 2 Driveway markers, Food Pouch filled with low reward and high reward foods (dog cookies low, dried liver hight)
